The Pittsburgh Penguins will honor defenseman Kris Letang prior to his 1,000th career game on Sunday, April 2 at 6:00 PM in a special pre-game ceremony.

Ahead of their game on Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins will hold a ceremony celebrating Letang becoming the 381st player in NHL history to skate in 1,000 career games. A special video will be played highlighting moments throughout Letang's career, as well as congratulatory messages from current and past teammates. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats prior to 6:00 PM for the pre-game ceremony.
Letang is set to become the 40th active player to play in 1,000 career games when he takes the ice on Sunday against Philadelphia, the team he made his NHL debut against on October 5, 2005. Letang, who is in his 17th season with the Penguins, will become the 68th player in NHL history to play in his first 1,000 games with one team, as well as the third Penguin to play in 1,000 games with the team, following Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
