Penguins to Hold Children's Book Collection on March 7

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
For the second season, the Pittsburgh Penguins will host a children’s book collection for the benefit of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh!

Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used children’s books to Mellon Arena on Sunday afternoon, March 7 when the Penguins take on the Boston Bruins.  The books will be distributed to Carnegie Library branches through the Pittsburgh area for summer reading programs and to foster a love of reading in young people.  Cash donations are also welcome and will be used by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to purchase new books.

The Penguins Booster Club will collect books and accept donations at Gates 1, 3 and 10 into the first period.  Fans who contribute will be eligible to win autographed Penguins memorabilia!
