The Pittsburgh Penguins will conclude their annual prospect development camp on Saturday afternoon with a free scrimmage open to the public beginning at 3 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center.
Fans can enter the arena through the Trib Total Media and American Eagle gates starting at 2 p.m. Free parking will be available in all CONSOL Energy Center surface lots.
Several concession stands, the box office and PensGear – the Penguins’ official team store – will be open.
The scrimmage will also be streamed live on the Penguins’ official team website, www.pittsburghpenguins.com, and it can be heard on Penguins Radio through the Penguins app or on the website. Paul Steigerwald will broadcast the action alongside Steve Kolbe and Bob Grove.
Saturday’s scrimmage will include two 30-minute halves with a continuous running clock. The clock will be stopped during the last three minutes of the second half. Between halves the ice will be resurfaced.
If a penalty is called, a penalty shot will be taken with the penalized player chasing the shooter. The clock will be stopped during the penalty shot.
Following the game, there will be a shootout. If the shootout is tied, it will proceed to a sudden death situation.
