Penguins to Air All Six Pre-Season Games on Radio

Fans will be able to listen to all six Pittsburgh Penguins’ pre-season games on the radio, the team announced.

All six games will be carried on the team’s flagship radio station, 105.9 the X (WXDX-FM).
In addition, all six games will air on Penguins HD Radio (WXDX FM HD-2 and streamed for free live on
Penguins Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Lange and Penguins HD radio host Steve Mears will split the play-by-play duties during the pre-season.

Lange will call the Sept. 22 game against Detroit (the first-ever game played at CONSOL Energy Center), and the Sept. 28 contest against defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago. Mears will call the remaining four games.
Mears also will host daily training camp shows on Penguins HD radio. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the camp shows will air from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
