by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
A minimum of 200 tickets will be reserved for each Penguins home game for the American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush program – starting Wednesday, when the Pens meet the Detroit Red Wings in their pre-season opener at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center

It will be the first hockey game ever played in the new arena.

Student Rush tickets are available to students with valid college and high school ID’s for $25. The tickets may be purchased at the American Eagle Outfitters Gate box office starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The American Eagle Outfitters Gate is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Washington Place.  The Student Rush line will form along Fifth Avenue.

There will be at least four games during the regular season when the Penguins reserve a block of 400 tickets for American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush. Among them will be Oct. 13 against Toronto, November 17 against Vancouver and December 15 against the New York Rangers.

“Our young fan base is extremely important to us, which is why we’re proud to again offer the American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush program, “ said David Morehouse, the Penguins’ CEO. “We want to make sure that our young fans have a chance to be a part of the action and experience Penguins hockey here at CONSOL Energy Center.”
