by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins will join forces with StarKist to collect non-perishable food items and cash donations on Tuesday night, when the Pens take on the Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Mellon Arena. The food drive will benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

StarKist will match cash donations made by fans, dollar for dollar, and will also donate StarKist tuna product to the Food Bank to support the cause.
“Charlie the Tuna” and StarKist employees will assist Penguins employees and food bank staff with the collection at Tuesday’s game.
The Penguins will host two other charity collections at home games during the month of March -- a children’s book drive to benefit the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at the Friday, March 20 game vs. Los Angeles, and a clothing drive to benefit Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania at the Saturday, March 28 game vs. the New York Rangers.
