The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed center Joe Jensen, their eighth-round draft pick in 2003, it was announced Wednesday by General Manager Ray Shero.

Jensen, 23, appeared in 38 games with St. Cloud State (WCHA) during the 2005-06 season, recording 32 points (14+18) and 14 penalty minutes.  He finished in a tie for second on the team in points (32) and finished second in goals (14).

In 153 career games with the Huskies of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, Jensen recorded 100 points (45+55) and 106 penalty minutes. 

The 5-11 and 180-pound native of Maple Grove, Minnesota was the 232nd pick overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
