Pittsburgh, PA – February 19, 2008 – The Pittsburgh Penguins have selected TicketExchange by Ticketmaster as the team’s authorized fan resale ticketing service. Season ticket holders are now able to utilize Penguins TicketExchange to post tickets for resale to other fans. This convenient and safe service will offer fans looking for tickets to Penguins home games access to valid tickets, often in premium locations to which they may not otherwise have access.
Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing company, will continue to serve as the Penguins’ authorized ticketing company for initial single game ticket sales for home games at the Mellon Arena.
“TicketExchange will benefit our Season Ticket Holders by providing them a secure and seamless forum to post tickets for resale, said Dave Soltesz, VP of Sales & Marketing, Pittsburgh Penguins.“ At the same time, it will provide a reliable platform for our fans who are looking to purchase team-authorized tickets to games with extremely limited inventory. With 43 consecutive sellouts and demand for Penguins’ tickets at an all-time high, TicketExchange could not have been introduced at a better time for our fans. We are thrilled to extend this valuable benefit.”
“By choosing TicketExchange, the Penguins are providing their season ticket holders and all fans with a convenient and reliable resale experience,” said Pat Lucas, General Manager, Ticketmaster Pittsburgh. “Penguins fans will benefit from greater protection and the unparalleled efficiency of our technology."
