The Penguins held an open practice for school students at CONSOL Energy Center Tuesday afternoon. Michelle Crechiolo has all the details on that here.
Meanwhile, on the ice the only missing player for the Pens (other than the injured players on IR) was center Evgeni Malkin, who had a maintenance day. Malkin returned to the ice, after missing two games with a lower-body injury, Monday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets and scored a goal.
Head coach Dan Bylsma also had a few other injury updates. Defenseman Rob Scuderi did one-on-one work with strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar prior to the team’s practice. Forward Tanner Glass worked out off the ice.
