START THE DAY
Good morning hockey fans. Tonight the Pens hope to solve their Metro Division woes when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets. Here are some game notes to get you going...
  • The Penguins complete a brief two-game homestand against the Columbus Blue Jackets (TV: ROOT SPORTS; Radio 105.9 The X) at CONSOL Energy Center.
  • Pittsburgh has a seven-game unbeaten stretch against the Blue Jackets (6-0-1). The Penguins’ last regulation setback against the Blue Jackets was 4-1 on Feb. 8, 2011 at CONSOL Energy Center.
  • The Penguins’ seven-game unbeaten stretch is the longest in the series history between the teams.
  • The Penguins have won three straight games against Columbus here in Pittsburgh.
