SCOUTING THE SABRES

START ME UP
Good morning hockey fans. Tonight the Pens look to extend their 6-game winning streak as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres. Buffalo played Friday night -- a 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers -- and therefore will not hold a morning skate today. Here are some game notes to get you ready for the action...
  • The Penguins continue along their season-long five-game road stretch against the Buffalo Sabres (TV: ROOT SPORTS; Radio: 105.9 the X) at First Niagara Center.

  • Pittsburgh is 4-0-1 this season on the road. The Penguins are the only NHL team that has yet to lose in regulation on the road.

  • The Penguins have a four-game winning streak against the Buffalo Sabres. In those four contests the Penguins have outscored the Sabres by a 17-2 margin.
  • Pittsburgh has won 14 of its last 19 games against the Sabres, including three straight wins and five victories in their last seven visits at First Niagara Center.

"Yesterday was Friday. Today is Saturday." It's those words of wisdom that made me choose to start the day with a fun ditty "Saturday" by the infamous Rebecca Black. Enjoy.
