BRUINS ROUND UP

PENS-BRUINS ROUND TABLE
One of my favorite Pens/hockey blog, Faceoff-Factor, produces a round table discussion among writers that cover the team for each playoff series. I was forunate enough to be asked to participate. There's a lot of good stuff in here. Thanks to Jesse Marshall for putting it all together and all the other participants for their great insight.

The B's are in Pittsburgh and we captured their morning skate...
Former Pen Jagr led the stretch
Sam had the best tweet yesterday: "BREAKING NEWS: Chara is tall"
There he is! Jagr with the greybeard
Another one of No. 68
Lined up on the CONSOL Energy Center ice
Everyone is talking about this man going into the series (Torey Krug)
Patrice Bergeron is going to have a heck of an assignment with either center he matches up with
Tyler Seguin may have just one goal in these playoffs, but he had 3 in 3 games against Pittsburgh in the regular season
Tuukka Rask does not appear to be scared of bears like Ilya Bryzgalov was, as his helmet is covered with a scary-looking bruin
Adam McQuaid has been playing with Krug
Brad Marchand may end up being public enemy No. 1 here in Pittsburgh during this series. Plays agitator role very well
Another one of the big man

SOUNDS HEARD AROUND THE ROOM
THEY SAID IT...
--Sam Kasan and Wes Crosby
Dupuis grows the best beard on the team
Kunitz plays catch on his knees

Not sure what Orpik is looking at, but whatever it is, it's about to be destroyed
Iggy, Iggy, Iggy
Everyone vs. goalie

Crosby eyes up his target
The look on Glass's face is priceless

The Pens get a gold star for perfect attendance at the morning skate. No apparent changes in the lineup judging by the rushes.
First unit - Letang, Malkin, Crosby, Neal, Kunitz
Second unit - Martin, Niskanen, Iginla, Morrow, Jokinen
START ME UP
Finally, the wait is over (sort of). After months of preparation, the Eastern Conference Final will start tonight when the Pens host the Boston Bruins in Game 1 at CONSOL Energy Center at 8 p.m. Pittsburgh will skate at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Bruins at 11:30 a.m. Stick right here for the latest news to get you ready for Game 1. Stay tuned...
I usually play one of my favorite bands since high school, the Dropkick Murphy's, to open any game day blog in which the Pens play the Bruins. So I'm going to stick with tradition to kick off this Eastern Conference Final series and play their rendition of "Amazing Grace." But since Dropkick is a Boston-area band and hardcore Bruins fans, I don't want to steal them for the Pens (I'm sure they would agree). So this will be their only appearance this series. Still love the band, but this is the playoffs. Because it's the Cup.
