Dan Bylsma addressed defenseman Alex Goligoski's status for tonight's game in light of Deryk Engelland's recent call up:

"It was a matter of being worn down a little bit and feeling under the weather," Bylsma said. "So we were cautious getting Deryk here. We will still see come game time."

Here are some quotes from the recently called up Deryk Engelland. The defenseman played Worcester Friday night. Engelland then drove to Philadelphia, caught an early flight to San Francisco and then drove to the HP Pavilion in time for the Penguins' morning skate.

Deryk Engelland
On his cross-country
It's been a long day. I had a game last night. i drove to Philly, got up this morning and flew here. It's been a long day and it was nice to get in a skate.
On if he got any sleep
A few hours on the plane and a few hours at the hotel. The last 12 hours have been very nerve racking and exciting. Last night it was tough to sleep. I tried to get a few hours and the six-hour plane ride was long.
On working his way back up after training camp
There are a few guys down there that are in the same position as I was. We all knew that and we've all been battling and playing a lot of minutes. It was very good when I got the call after the game last night. It's very exciting and we'll see what happens.
On the competition from teammates to get the call up
When Goose was down there he was the No. 1 guy (to get called up). But now there are three of us more or less. There are a couple young guys playing really well. It's very competitive on the back end and it makes it fun.
On when he learned of the call up
Right after the game. They called me in. I got undressed and drove the Philly then.
