  • Crosby was originally going to play tonight in Minnesota, but couldn't work it out logistically; He'll return to Nova Scotia today for his grandmother's funeral
  • Maatta hasn't been cleared to play, but will practice with the team in Detroit on Tuesday
  • Bortuzzo is in the 3-5 week range
  • Malkin still hasn't taken the ice for work out
  • Pouliot will go to WBS to train for the week while the team is on the road

Good morning Pens fans. The Pens will hold an 11 a.m. morning skate at CONSOL Energy Center. Afterward they'll board a plane for Minnesota for a showdown with the Wild at 8 p.m. EST.

Tonight Sidney Crosby will make his preseason debut. Other notables in the lineup are Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis, Paul Martin, Christian Ehrhoff, Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist. Daniel Carcillo will also see his first preseason action as he tries to earn a contract.
