Penguins Recall Sundqvist
by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh PenguinsThe Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Oskar Sundqvist from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Sundqvist, 22, helped WBS win for the fifth time in six games on Tuesday night, a 4-3 Penguins victory against Springfield that kept WBS tied with the Hershey Bears at 87 points each. Those two clubs are battling for first place in the Atlantic Division.
Sundqvist has one assist in 12 NHL games with Pittsburgh and 17 points (5G-12A) in 45 AHL contests with WBS.
