The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Noah Welch from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced Saturday by general manager Ray Shero.
Welch, 24, has played in 22 games this season with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has recorded one goal, one assist and 22 penalty minutes.
Welch has appeared in 20 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording five goals, 12 assists and 16 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pound native of Brighton, MA was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round (54th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.
