The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled goaltender Filip Lindberg from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by General Manager Ron Hextall.
Lindberg will join the team in Detroit for tonight's game.

The 23-year-old netminder stopped 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%) during the Penguins' 3-2 overtime victory in his lone preseason action against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sept. 25.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Lindberg appeared in seven games for WBS in 2021-22, posting a 4-2-0 record, .915 save percentage and 2.76 goals against average. Prior to his professional career, Lindberg spent three seasons with the University of Massachusetts (NCAA), where he tallied a 29-10-6 record, .937 save percentage and 1.58 goals against average in 50 career games.
The Penguins will be back in action tonight, October 3 at 7:30 PM ET against the Detroit Red Wings from Little Caesars Arena. Fans can listen to Monday's game on the team's official radio flagship, 105.9 The X.
