The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Mark Letestu from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Letestu, 25, has made seven appearances for Pittsburgh this year. He made his NHL debut in the Penguins’ 6-5 overtime win against Boston Nov. 14, and recorded his first career NHL goal (and point) in Pittsburgh’s 5-4 victory over Buffalo Feb. 1.
Despite playing only 37 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this year, Letestu (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) ranks second on the team in goals (16), assists (24) and points (40). The Elk Point, Alberta native paces the team with a plus-11 rating.
