The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Zolnierczyk, 26, has skated in 11 NHL games this year with Pittsburgh, scoring two goals. He has played in 55 career NHL games with the Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers, totaling five goals, four assists, nine points and 79 penalty minutes.
In 56 AHL games with WBS, Zolnierczyk has established career highs across the board with 18 goals, 18 assists and 36 points. His 18 goals rank third on the team. Zolnierczyk has collected at least one point in five of his last eight games (1G-5A).
