The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Zolnierczyk, 26, is in his fourth stint with the Penguins this season. He notched his first goal as a Penguin on Dec. 21 in a 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames at CONSOL Energy Center.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Zolnierczyk has scored a team-leading (tied) 10 goals in 21 games with WBS this season. He has added four helpers for a total of 14 points.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Zolnierczyk has appeared in 52 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, totaling eight points (4G-4A) and 77 penalty minutes.
