by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Beau Bennett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Bennett, 22, played in two AHL games with WBS this past weekend, collecting five assists. On Sunday, he had an AHL-career-high four assists in the WBS Penguins’ overtime win against Syracuse.

Bennett, who has yet to play for Pittsburgh in the regular season this year because of a lower-body injury he suffered during training camp, has 21 points (6G-15A) in 47 career NHL regular-season games.
