Penguins Recall Dominik Uher

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Dominik Uher from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Uher, 21, made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh on Dec. 23 at Tampa Bay, becoming the sixth Penguins player this month to make his NHL debut.

The 6-foot, 202-pound Uher is in his third season with WBS, where he has totaled four goals, five assists, nine points, a plus-4 and 37 penalty minutes in 31 games.

A native of Ostvava, Czech Republic, Uher had a career year last season with WBS, posting career highs in games played (68), goals (7), assists (17), points (24), plus-minus (+9), penalty minutes (66) and shots (99). His three shorthanded goals were tied for first on the team.
