PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Rob Scuderi from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Scuderi, 26, appeared in 13 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording eight assists and a plus-11 rating.  Scuderi was reassigned from Pittsburgh to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on November 22nd.

The 6-0 and 218-pound native of Syosset, New York has appeared in 10 games this season with the Penguins, going scoreless with 10 penalty minutes.  Scuderi was drafted by the Penguins in the fifth round (134th overall) of the 1998 Entry Draft.

The Penguins active roster stands at 21 players.  Four Penguins are currently on injured reserve.
