The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Mark Letestu to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.
In two stints with Pittsburgh Letestu has appeared in three games, posting a plus-1 rating while winning 58 percent of his faceoffs (18 of 31). Letestu, 24, made his NHL debut in the Penguins’ 6-5 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins Nov. 14.
The Elk Point, Alberta native has been one of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s top scoring threats this season with 13 points (4G-9A), a plus-4 rating and 57 shots on goal. His 13 points rank fourth on the team despite playing in only 14 of the team’s 23 games.
