The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Alex Nylander to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by general manager Ron Hextall.

Nylander, 25, has played seven games with Pittsburgh this season picking up a goal and an assist and is plus-2. This season with WBS, he's recorded a career-high 25 goals, 25 assists, 50 points and is plus-2 through 55 games. His 25 goals rank first and 50 points rank second on WBS.
In 91 career NHL games with Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Chicago, Nylander has recorded 14 goals, 20 assists and 34 points.
The Penguins return to action on Tuesday, April 11 as they host the Chicago Blackhawks at PPG Paints Arena on 'Fan Appreciation Night'. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM.
