Penguins Promote David Peart To Senior Vice President of Sales & Service

The Pittsburgh Penguins have promoted David Peart to Senior Vice President of Sales and Service, it was announced today by David Morehouse, the team’s CEO and President.

 
In his new role, Peart, 48, will oversee the Penguins’ overall sales strategy including corporate sales, ticket sales, premium tickets, broadcasting, new media, integrated marketing, corporate outreach and the team’s client service efforts.
 
He joined the Penguins in 2009 as Vice President of Business Partnerships and played an instrumental role in the club’s transition to CONSOL Energy Center, including the creation of the Founding Partners corporate program.  In the past two seasons, the club has increased its number of corporate partners by 102 percent while selling out all suites, loge boxes and club seats and extending its overall sellout streak to 210 games.
 
Peart also brings a wide range of management experience from the NFL, MLB and NHL, having previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the San Francisco 49ers, Vice President of Business Development for the Houston Texans and Assistant Vice President of Sponsorship Sales for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars.
 
A native of Kennedy Township who attended Point Park and Carnegie Mellon, Peart’s first job was as an advertising account executive for KQV radio. He broke into professional sports as Director of Advertising Sales for the Penguins from 1987-93 – and therefore has worked for the team during all three Stanley Cup championship seasons. David, his wife Julie and two children, Tyler, 19, and Kelsey, 17, live in Shadyside section of Pittsburgh.
