ppg paints arena big screen

The Pittsburgh Penguins today announced the return of the outdoor Big Screen for all home games during the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The large video screen, a staple of Penguins playoff hockey over the past decade, will be located once again near the Peoples Gate at PPG Paints Arena (at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Washington Place). In addition to the KeyBank Big Screen, a DJ, face painters, interactive games and appearances by special guests including Iceburgh will take place leading up to game time. The KeyBank Fan Zone will be activated outside the Peoples gate prior to each home game.
Inside PPG Paints Arena, "Gold-Outs" will again become the norm as the Pens will distribute gold t-shirts and towels to all fans in attendance. The three playoff presenting partners - PPG, UPMC and IGS Energy - will provide the t-shirts and towels for Game 1 against Philadelphia on Wednesday. For Game 2, t-shirts will be provided courtesy of Iron Workers Local Union No. 3, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66 and Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 9. RAM Trucks will present the towels.
There will be a Coors Light party tent with a DJ outside near the Mario Lemieux statue. Food trucks are scheduled to be available along Centre Avenue.
Outside the Verizon Gate, fans of all ages can put their hockey skills to the test. Several interactive games will be set up including the "Penguins Combine." Fans completing the multi-step course will receive a voucher for a free public skating session at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry. Face painters will also be available at no charge.
Also, fans may pick up free playoff yards signs at Pittsburgh area DICK'S Sporting Goods locations while supplies last. The signs are provided by DICK'S Sporting Goods.
Activation outside the arena will start at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
