Penguins Pick 30th in First Round of NHL Entry Draft

The Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins have seven selections in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft this weekend, starting with the 30th and final pick of the first round Friday at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
First-round coverage starts on Versus at 7 p.m. Fox Sports Radio 970 will also carry full coverage from NHL radio. In addition, fans may link to NHL Radio coverage at nhl.com
Rounds 2-7 will be held on Saturday.
The Penguins’ scheduled picks:
1st round – 30th overall 2nd round – 61st overall 3rd round – 63rd overall (acquired from Tampa Bay in exchange for the rights to Ryan Malone and Gary Roberts) 4th round – 121st overall 5th round – 123rd overall (acquired from Tampa Bay in exchange for the rights to Michael Sersen) 6th round – 181st overall 7th round – 211th overall
The Penguins previously traded two of their 2009 draft picks, sending their third-round pick (91st overall) to the New York Islanders for Bill Guerin and their fifth-round pick (151st overall) to Toronto for Hal Gill. The New York Rangers later acquired that pick from Toronto.
