Penguins Announce 2018-19 Regular-Season Schedule

Pens open with a three-game homestand that features games against Stanley Cup Final combatants Washington and Vegas

Pittsburgh Penguins' fans will have the opportunity to see the 2018 Stanley Cup Final combatants in the opening week of the 2018-19 regular season, as the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights are two of the three teams the Pens will host during their season-opening three-game homestand.

After welcoming the Capitals on opening night, Thursday, October 4 at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins will then host the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, October 6, and the Golden Knights on Thursday, October 11. All three games will begin at 7:00 PM. The three-game homestand ties for the Pens' longest of the season.

Penguins Own Six Selections in the 2018 NHL Draft on Friday and Saturday

This year's NHL Draft will take place this Friday and Saturday, June 22-23, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Pittsburgh Penguins own six choices, beginning with their first pick, the 53rd-overall selection in the second round.

The Penguins will also select once in the third (64th overall), sixth (177th) and seventh round (208th), and twice in the fifth round (129th and 146th).

Ruhwedel hits hole-in-one

Chad Ruhwedel and Riley Sheahan were enjoying a round of golf at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course after the Pens' season ended.

The duo stepped up to the third hole, a 167-yard Par 3 with a green surrounded by water and sand. Ruhwedel pulled out his 56 degree wedge and took a swing. He knew immediately it was a good hit.
