The Pittsburgh Penguins will play on national television 11 times during the 2014-15 regular season on either NBC or NBC Sports Network.
Pittsburgh makes its first national TV appearance October 22 when it hosts the Philadelphia Flyers at 8 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center in a game that will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network as part of that station’s Wednesday Night Rivalry schedule.
The Penguins will play seven times on Wednesday Night Rivalry night, facing the Flyers and Capitals twice each, and the Bruins, Blackhawks and Red Wings once.
The Penguins and their Metropolitan Division rival New York Rangers will square off in the first weekend NBC broadcast of the season on Sunday, January 18 at 12:30 p.m.
Pittsburgh also makes a weekend appearance on NBC Sunday, Feb. 15 at 12:30 p.m. against the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.
Two games – March 15 vs. Detroit and April 5 at Philadelphia – are subject to flex scheduling. Those games will either be played at 12:30 p.m. on NBC or 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network. Official starting times will be announced at a later date.
ROOT SPORTS will broadcast the Penguins’ remaining 71 regular-season games.
