Penguins Honor November High School Players of the Month

Hempfield’s Kyle Rosendale, Pine-Richland’s Ryan Hanahan, Chartiers Valley’s Justin Sabilla and Erie McDowell’s Ryan Guzek are being honored tonight by the Pittsburgh Penguins as Highmark High School Hockey Players of the Month for November.


The Penguins and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield honor high school players of the month four times each season.

Rosendale, a senior forward who serves as Hempfield’s captain, rang up 11 goals and 15 points in four games during November.

Hanahan, a senior defenseman and also captain of the Pine-Richland team, contributed five goals and 10 points in addition to outstanding defensive work in six games.

Sabilla, a junior forward, exploded for 16 goals and 19 points in six games to lead the Chartiers Valley attack.

Guzek, a junior forward, registered 10 goals and 16 points in seven games for Erie McDowell.

The Penguins are proud supporters of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL), as well as all local amateur hockey.
