World-class power skating coach Besa Tsintsadze will be the featured instructor at the Pittsburgh Penguins Holiday Power Skating School for youngsters 5-17. The school will be held Dec. 26-28 at Iceoplex at Southpointe and Mellon Arena.
Classes are available for mite, squirt, pee wee and bantam-midget youth hockey players. All participants also will be invited to watch the Pittsburgh Penguins’ practice on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 6 p.m. at Southpointe.
Tsintsadze has worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and many other professional hockey players. A native of the Republic of Georgia, he represented his country in three World and European Championships and claimed the national title six times in his career. He arrived in the United States in 1997 to perform as the principal skater with “Disney on Ice.”
