Penguins Hit the Road for Four Pre-Season Games

The Pittsburgh Penguins will conclude their pre-season schedule with four road games in seven days next week.

The Penguins travel to Montreal, Toronto, Columbus and Detroit. Broadcasts of all four games will be available to fans on radio, and three will be televised by the NHL Network.

The radio broadcasts for the Montreal, Toronto and Columbus games will be carried on the Penguins’ new HD radio channel at 105.9 HD2. Those broadcasts also will be streamed live on Steve Mears, who is the new host of the “Penguins Live” show on the HD channel, will handle the play-by-play for those games, and Phil Bourque will provide the color.

The Sunday, Sept. 27 game at Detroit will be carried on the Penguins’ flagship radio station, 105.9 The X (WXDX-FM), with Mike Lange and Bourque calling the action.

The schedule:
Monday, Sept. 21 at Montreal, 7:30 p.m., Penguins HD radio, NHL Network
Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Toronto, 7:00 p.m., Penguins HD radio, NHL Network
Thursday, Sept. 24 at Columbus, 7:00 p.m., Penguins HD radio
Sunday, Sept. 27 at Detroit, 5:00 p.m., 105.9 the X, NHL Network

(Please note that for the Montreal and Toronto games, the NHL Network will pick up TSN broadcasts out of Canada. For the Detroit game, the NHL Network will carry the Fox Sports Detroit feed).
