Penguins Foundation Donating More Than $250,000 From 50/50 Raffles To Local Charities

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation is donating more than $250,000 raised from its 50/50 raffles on game nights to local charitable organizations.

More than 20 charities are receiving Penguins Foundation grants, including the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Autism Center of Pittsburgh, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, the Caring Foundation, the Children’s Sickle Cell Foundation, DePaul School for Hearing and Speech, Family House, the Sarah Heinz House, the Heitz 61 Memorial Foundation, Holy Family Institute, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater PA & WV, the McGuire Memorial Foundation, the Operation Backpack Children’s Foundation, Pressley Ridge, Project Bundle-Up, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh, SLB Radio Productions, Tickets For Kids Charity, Variety the Children’s Charities, the Washington Area Humane Society, Wesley Spectrum Services and the Woodlands Foundation.

“Thanks to the generosity of our fans, who participate in 50/50 raffles on Penguins game nights at CONSOL Energy Center, we are able to have an immediate positive impact on more than 20 local charities, “ said Dave Soltesz, president of the Penguins Foundation. “The Foundation will be proud to do this again after the completion of our season, when even more money will have been raised.”
