Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz
underwent successful surgery today to repair a torn abdominal muscle and is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks.
Dr. William C. Meyers performed the surgery this morning in Philadelphia.
Kunitz, 30, has tallied six goals and 20 points in 30 contests with the Penguins this season. He has appeared in 365 career games in the NHL, registering 230 points (94G, 136A).
