by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
The generosity of Pittsburgh Penguins fans came through again Wednesday night when they donated $15,560 to benefit wounded police officer James Kuzak.

Officer Kuzak, a 15-year police veteran, was shot three times April 4 while answering an emergency call about a home invasion in Clairton. He is hospitalized in critical condition and still faces multiple surgeries.
Officers from the Clairton Police Department and other local police units held the collection before the Penguins’ playoff opener at CONSOL Energy Center.
Donations also may be sent to the James Kuzak Benefit Fund, P.O. Box 225, Clairton, PA  15025, or made in person at any PNC Bank office.
