Penguins Fan Fest to Feature Players, Historical Displays and More

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins will host a one-day Fan Fest on Sunday, October 9 at CONSOL Energy Center. The Fan Fest, presented by UPMC, will be the opening event of the team’s 50th season celebration.

There will be two sessions held throughout the day:

Sunday, October 9 – 10 am to 2 pm
Sunday, October 9 – 3 pm to 7 pm

All Pittsburgh Penguins players on the active roster on October 9 are scheduled to attend one of the two sessions. Throughout the event, players will engage with fans through Q&A sessions, interactive demonstrations, playing on a drop-in hockey rink, hosting a kid’s only press conference and more.

Fans will have the chance to browse a Hockey Hall of Fame trophy exhibit featuring many of the awards won by the team throughout the years as well as a jersey display visually depicting the evolution of the team’s uniforms.

Numerous photo opportunities, historical displays and other kids-themed activities will also be available.

Tickets are on sale now for $10 each at and at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Box Office at CONSOL Energy Center. Proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

Due to the anticipated number of guests that are expected to attend, fans are not guaranteed autographs or access to locker room tours. Scratch cards, similar to the ones used by the team for its annual Fan Appreciation Night/Shirts Off Our Back promotion, will be distributed upon entering for the opportunity to participate in autograph sessions with current players or locker rooms tours.

Parking will be available in the CONSOL Energy Center surface lots as well as the CONSOL Energy Center Parking Garage located on Centre Avenue. The event parking rate for Fan Fest is $10.

The team store, PensGear powered by Reebok, and concession stands will be open during each session.
