Penguins’ Exclusive Radio Station,Now Known as ‘Penguins Radio 24/7’Returns on Monday, October 3

The Pittsburgh Penguins’ exclusive radio station, now known as “Penguins Radio 24/7,” returns on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. as the Pens prepare for the start of the 2011-12 NHL regular season.  It will be presented by NSS Life.

Featuring daily shows by the Penguins’ own Steve Mears and 105.9 The X radio personality Mark Madden as well as daily media sessions by coach Dan Bylsma, game rewinds, fan audio blogs and other unique programming, Penguins Radio 24/7 is the place to keep up with the Pens any day, any time.
Penguins Radio 24/7 is available on the Pens Mobile App, allowing it to be streamed on virtually all smart phones, as well as at and on HD radio at 105.9 FM HD-2. It also is available on the Clear Channel iHeart Radio App.
The station, now in its third season, is one of the first team-branded audio channels in the world. Signature shows will be “Penguins Live” with Mears from 9 a.m-11 a.m. weekdays, and Madden’s one-hour Penguins show from 2 p.m.-3p.m weekdays.
In addition to regular daily Penguins programming, Penguins Radio 24/7 will carry all Penguins radio broadcasts with an expanded 60-minute pre-game show; a weekly one-hour audio magazine called Pensweek; 28 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins game broadcasts; selected Robert Morris University Division 1 hockey broadcasts; and a weekly one-hour show devoted to local high school hockey.
