If you drove by CONSOL Energy Center Friday night, you may have been surprised to see that the building’s screens and LED pucks weren't their traditional black and gold – instead they were a vibrant shade of blue.
That’s because the Penguins and CONSOL Energy Center were taking part in “Light It Up Blue" on the evening of April 1. Prominent buildings and landmarks across North America and the world – including the Empire State Building, the CN Tower and even Niagara Falls – turn their lights blue to raise awareness for autism and to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day (which occurs on Saturday, April 2).
