Penguins Begin Preseason Monday Night Against the Detroit Red Wings at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center

The Pittsburgh Penguins will play their first exhibition game on Monday night when they host the Detroit Red Wings at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center.

Monday’s game is the first of four Penguins preseason contests that will be televised locally, with the game airing on WPCW – Pittsburgh’s CW. Penguins television broadcasters Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey will have the call.

Fans can also listen to Monday’s game, and all six Penguins preseason games, on the team’s official flagship radio station 105.9 The X, with Mike Lange, Phil Bourque, Steve Kolbe and Bob Grove delivering the action.

In addition to Monday night, three other Penguins preseason contests will be televised. The team’s annual ‘Free Game for Kids’ on Saturday Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. against Columbus can also be seen on WPCW.

The final two road games of the exhibition slate, an 8 p.m. contest on Monday Sept. 29 at Minnesota, and Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Detroit, will be televised on ROOT SPORTS.
