Meet the Pens' 2018 Draft Class

The Pens selected four players at the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas, one defenseman and three forwards.

"With the picks we had I think we did really good. We're excited about all four players that we brought into the organization," said Patrik Allvin, the Pens' director of amateur scouting. "We really liked everyone we were able to get today.

"Credit to all of our scouts putting the list together. We didn't have many picks, but I think we did well with the picks that we had."

Pens Select Defenseman Calen Addison 53rd Overall in the 2018 NHL Draft

The Pittsburgh Penguins selected defenseman Calen Addison of the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League as their top pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. Addison was selected with the 53rd-overall selection in the second round. He was ranked 30th by NHL Central Scouting among North American players and 21st overall by the Red Line Report heading into the weekend.

Penguins Announce 2018-19 Regular-Season Schedule

Pens open with a three-game homestand that features games against Stanley Cup Final combatants Washington and Vegas

Pittsburgh Penguins' fans will have the opportunity to see the 2018 Stanley Cup Final combatants in the opening week of the 2018-19 regular season, as the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights are two of the three teams the Pens will host during their season-opening three-game homestand.

After welcoming the Capitals on opening night, Thursday, October 4 at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins will then host the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, October 6, and the Golden Knights on Thursday, October 11. All three games will begin at 7:00 PM. The three-game homestand ties for the Pens' longest of the season.

Penguins Own Six Selections in the 2018 NHL Draft on Friday and Saturday

This year's NHL Draft will take place this Friday and Saturday, June 22-23, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Pittsburgh Penguins own six choices, beginning with their first pick, the 53rd-overall selection in the second round.
