Penguins Announce Seven Founding Partners at CONSOL Energy Center

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced seven “Founding Partners” at CONSOL Energy Center.

In addition to CONSOL Energy, which has naming rights to the new arena, the Founding Partners are American Eagle Outfitters, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PNC Wealth Management, Trib Total Media, UPMC and Verizon.
“We are proud that our list of Founding Partners reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of the Pittsburgh corporate community,” said David Morehouse, president of the Penguins. “All are companies that are extremely active in the community, are generous in their charitable efforts and reflect the best of what the city and the region have to offer.
“By joining us as Founding Partners, they are helping to ensure that CONSOL Energy Center will be a spectacular state-of-the-art entertainment center for the people of Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania.”
Each Founding Partner will have an entitled signature Landmark in the new arena (entry gate, suite level, youth-oriented display) in addition to long-term category exclusivity, use of the Penguins’ logo and all the traditional marketing benefits of a Penguins partnership. Each also will have a Founding Partner medallion in the bowl of CONSOL Energy Center.
The new arena opens Aug. 18 with a concert by Paul McCartney. The Penguins will open the NHL regular season in October.
