The Pittsburgh Penguins have activated forwards Kasperi Kapanen and Josh Archibald from injured reserve, it was announced today by general manager Ron Hextall.
Goaltender Tristan Jarry has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to January 22.

Kapanen, 26, has appeared in 35 games with the Penguins this season registering six goals, 11 assists and 17 points. The forward recorded the Penguins' lone hat trick of the season thus far and second of his career on December 3 against the St. Louis Blues. He also tallied his 100th career assist on January 13 against the Winnipeg Jets becoming the 23rd member of his 2014 draft class to do so.
The Kuoplo, Finaland native has appeared in 356 career NHL games split between Pittsburgh and the Toronto Maple Leafs, registering 69 goals, 100 assists and 169 points. At the AHL level, Kapanen has tallied 94 points (40G-54A) in 119 career AHL games.
Archibald, 30, has appeared in 30 games with the Penguins this season. The forward has recorded four goals, two assists, and six points. He currently leads the team with a plus-8 and 3.63 hits-per-game average.
The Regina, Saskatchewan native has appeared in 273 career NHL games split between Pittsburgh, the Arizona Coyotes and the Edmonton Oilers. He has registered 43 goals, 34 assists and 77 points in his career. At the AHL level, Archibald has tallied 64 points (32G-34A) in 188 career AHL games.
The Penguins return to action tonight with a matchup against the Colorado Avalanche for Check Your Heart Night. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM at PPG Paints Arena.
