Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park to Meet Thursday in Second Game of PIHL Charity Series

Mt. Lebanon will take on Bethel Park on Thursday night at the South Park Ice Rink in the second of a series of three outdoor games featuring teams from the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).

Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato will drop the ceremonial first puck for the 7 p.m. game. He will be joined by Pittsburgh Penguins president David Morehouse.

The “PIHL Outdoor Charity Series” is presented by the Centers for Rehab Services, a part of UPMC. Proceeds from the series will benefit the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.

The first game of the series was played Jan. 22 at the North Park rink between North Allegheny and Pine-Richland. The third game will be Wednesday, Feb. 18, when South Park takes on Peters Township at the South Park rink.
