NOTES
The Wheeling Nailers defeated the Trenton Devils Sunday for the fourth straight time, 4-3, and climbed back into the playoff picture in the process.

Just as they did Saturday night, the Nailers got off to a quick start this afternoon. Mitch Ganzak, who returned on loan to Albany of the AHL just before faceoff, gave the Nailers an early lead when he scored a five-hole power play goal at the 4:54 mark of the first period when the puck took a wicked bounce off of the boards. Kelly Miller extended the Nailers’ lead to 2-0 a minute later when he scored on a one-timer feed from Bo Cheesman.

Penguins center Sidney Crosby groin will sideline him in Pittsburgh's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at St. Pete Times Forum Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. on Versus Network.

Crosby missed the past three games with the groin injury he suffered injury Feb. 22 at Washington. Crosby has already missed four games this season to injury, including a knee injury that sidelined him Jan. 16 vs. Anaheim.

Despite missing four games with injuries this season, Crosby is third in the league in scoring with 79 points. He's second in the NHL in assists (56 - behind teammate Evgeni Malkin, 63), second in even-strength points (50), second in road points (42) and is tied for second with Washington's Alex Ovechkin with 1.32 points-per-game.
