The Penguins showdown with the Los Angeles Kings at Mellon Arena Friday night at 7:30 p.m. will be an emotional game for interim head coach Dan Bylsma.
Bylsma started his NHL career with the Kings, playing for the team from 1995-2000. He appeared in 220 games for Los Angeles, tallying 30 points (9G-21A)
"When they walked into the rink today I saw a lot of old faces, a lot of old friends," Bylsma said. "For me, this is the team that I started my pro career with in the NHL. It's going to be special seeing the jersey, seeing these faces and trying to go after the two points.">
The Penguins did not skate in line combinations at Friday's morning skate, opting to work on drills and schematics. Though it is likely that Bylsma will use the same lines that he's been employing:
is expected to make another start in goal for Pittsburgh.
