Penguins head coach Michel Therrien reconfigured the line combinations heading into Monday's matchup with the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m.
, who returned Saturday after missing 14 games with a knee injury, will skate alongside Sidney Crosby
and Pascal Dupuis
. Therrien reunited Ruslan Fedotenko, Evgeni Malkin
and Petr Sykora on the second line. Jordan Staal
will center between Matt Cooke
and Maxime Talbot, while Miroslav Satan, Dustin Jeffrey
and Eric Godard will skate together.
Kennedy has also been elevated to the top power-play unit, where he will play up front with Crosby and Malkin.
Philippe Boucher skated for the second straight day and was deemed healthy enough to play. The Penguins will dress only six of their eight healthy defensemen but Therrien wouldn't reveal which two will sit in the post-practice meeting with the media. Marc-Andre Fleury
, who lost his last three starts, will get the start in goal.
