David Morehouse of the Pittsburgh Penguins has been named “CEO Communicator of the Year” by the Pittsburgh chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Morehouse received the award Thursday night during the PRSA’s Renaissance Awards program at the Fairmont Hotel.
Morehouse was honored for his exceptional work in communicating the Penguins’ message – from the opening of CONSOL Energy Center to the team’s innovative fan outreach programs, such as Student Rush and players personally delivering season tickets.
He said one of the team’s most important achievements was being named No. 1 in Fan Relations in all of professional sports by ESPN The Magazine.
Earlier this month, Morehouse was honored by The Hockey News as one of the 100 People of Power and Influence in the world of hockey. He was ranked No. 28.
