MALKIN SETS UP RUSSIA'S GAME-WINNING GOAL

Evgeni Malkin picked up an assist in Russia’s 6-3 win over Switzerland on Sunday at the IIHF World Championship in Moscow.

Malkin set up Andrei Markov’s goal 2:00 into the third period. It turned out to be the game-winning goal for Russia.

Sergei Gonchar played, but did not register a point for Russia.

Canada rallied for a 4-3 win over the Czech Republic. Jordan Staal and Colby Armstrong played for Canada, but did not register a point.

Sweden shut out Finland, 1-0, on Saturday. Jarkko Ruutu had two penalty minutes for the Finns.
