Local Prospect Miller Leads US

Local prospect JT Miller scored two goals to help the US National Under-17 team defeat Russia, 7-4, Thursday night at the 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge at Iroquois Falls, Ont. Miller is from East Palestine, Ohio and played for the Pittsburgh Hornets before joining the US National Development Program this season.


Miller is tied for the tournament lead with four goals and seven points through three games.
The US, which already has clinched a spot in the tournament semifinals, continues round-robin play against Canada-Pacific Saturday at Kirkland Lake, Ont. For more details, check out www.usahockey.com.
